Chapter 252.1
Chapter 252.1
The moment she sensed something was off was when she opened the front door to her home with a heavy heart.
The house was dark. Her husband, who always came to greet her on tiptoe, was nowhere to be found, and the living room light was off. The fluorescent light dropping from above felt chilling.
“Instructor…”
She quietly called out for Lee Wooshin as she quickly took off her shoes.
“Instructor, Lee Wooshin, Lee Wooshin!”
She called for her husband while opening the living room, the balcony, and the empty rooms, but there was no response.
In the eight months of their marriage, had he ever left this house? No, he hadn’t.
Seoryeong felt her heart drop and immediately switched on her phone. The bright blue light from the screen illuminated her tense face like any other day in the past.
“Where did you go without saying anything?”
As the frustrating dial tone connected, Seoryeong bit her lip. Pick up quickly. She dropped the sports bag she had slung over one shoulder and swept her long hair back.
She returned to the entrance, opened the shoe cabinet door, and counted the number of Lee Wooshin’s shoes with her eyes.
The shoes were still there… Just then, as she crouched down, she carefully stared at the tiles in the entrance.
“―”
A familiar, gentle ringtone was ringing from their bedroom. In an instant, she reacted like a wild animal, lifting the comforter in the master bedroom to find her husband’s phone.
Her heart raced at the embarrassing saved name ‘My Love♥’. For a moment, she was distracted by the clattering, subtle noise, and turned to look back.
“…..”
Her sharp gaze landed on the white bathroom door.
Swoosh!.
The sound of a strong water stream could be heard beyond the thick door.
“Ha!”
Seoryeong let her tense shoulders drop.
‘I must really be… such a spoiled child… No matter how much Lee Wooshin is, he could skip a day. Why am I feeling so anxious like a child just because he didn’t greet me? Am I regressing too much?’
Seoryeong let out a hollow laugh. Then she sat on the bed, hugging her knees and gently rocking her body. The sound of water splashing continued to hit the tiles.
“Hm…”
She wanted to wait patiently. Time was moving too slowly. How long had Lee Wooshin been washing? Couldn’t they just wash together?
Finally, Seoryeong got up from her spot and took off her outer coat.
She crossed her arms and tossed her T-shirt aside, followed by her pants and socks. Soon, she was left in a snug-fitting sleeveless crop top and black panties. She lightly walked over and turned the doorknob to the bathroom.
“Instructor!”
But her words didn’t finish. The sharp smell of bleach stung her nose, causing her to furrow her brow. The smile she had intended to surprise him with froze awkwardly.
In the sink filled with water lay a T-shirt that looked like Lee Wooshin’s, and bleach was rolling around.
A faint red hue swirled on the calm surface. Lee Wooshin, with his upper body bare, was wearing bright red rubber gloves that didn’t suit him as he cleaned the gaps in the bathtub.
With each movement of the toothbrush, his muscular forearms bulged as if carved with a chisel. It was an incomprehensible sight.
Then suddenly, his hand stopped. His indifferent eyes turned toward her, who was standing in the doorway.
“Don’t come in. Your feet will get wet.”
Seoryeong awkwardly bit her outstretched leg. Something felt strangely cold about her husband. A subtle silence settled.
“….”
“….”
Lee Wooshin began to slowly scan Seoryeong, who was half-naked, from head to toe. The loud sound of the shower had somehow ceased.
Even though his gaze was calm, it felt strangely suffocating. Seoryeong covered her clearly visible abs with one arm, feeling awkward. At that, Lee Wooshin’s eyebrows shot up.
‘Is it because my abs look nice?’ Her husband’s persistent gaze didn’t seem to leave her stomach. Well, after this training, they had become more defined.
‘No, still… my chest is more interesting than my stomach. He’s not even looking at that.’
Just then, as Seoryeong cleared her throat, Lee Wooshin flinched, clenched his jaw, and abruptly turned his head.
“When did you come? I didn’t hear you come in while I was cleaning.”
“….”
‘Is this really the end? I came home, and you don’t even give me a kiss? This feels suspicious. Something is definitely off.’
