Chapter 230.2
Chapter 230.2
However, Jin Hojae’s enthusiasm was unmistakable.
“Team leader, no, CEO! I stayed up all night searching for a company name. Since this will be the company we spend our lives with, wouldn’t it be nice if the name sounded impressive? So, based on what was shared in the military community, I’ve shortlisted a few candidates. Can I present them?”
Seoryeong should have noticed the fiery look in Jin Hojae’s eyes earlier…
“In today’s global era, many people say it’s trendy to mix English and numbers. So, I came up with ‘jo8***’ from’joy’—”
“That’s ridiculous.”
Lee Wooshin’s expression immediately turned icy as he rested his chin in his hand. He stared at the startled Jin Hojae with an emotionless gaze before lazily encouraging him to continue.
Seoryeong’s instinct told her they should stop the meeting right there, and as Jin Hojae continued, that feeling only grew stronger.
“One of the suggestions was ‘swap***.'”
“Rejected. It reminds me of SWAT, and that’s not acceptable.”
Lee Wooshin waved his hand dismissively, signaling to move on. SWAT, or Special Weapons and Tactics, was a U.S. police special forces term. Jin Ho-jae clicked his tongue in disappointment.
“‘p67***’ might be okay.”
“‘P6-7? Are we all planning to get covered in blood or hold a ceremony for it?”
Lee Wooshin had a knack for twisting words.
“How about ‘psg***’?”
“Isn’t that the abbreviation for Paris Saint-Germain FC?”
“Then what about ‘BIW’? Doesn’t it sound luxurious, like a foreign car?”
“If you read it as ‘biw,’ any Korean would want to add ‘shin’ (god) to it.”
“What about ‘ter’?”
“‘Ter?'”
He furrowed his brows in irritation. His breath, mixed with silent laughter, carried a tone of insult. Jin Hojae, looking frightened, quickly flipped through the papers. It would be great if someone like Ki Taemin could stop him, but it seemed he too was caught up in the same enthusiasm and had brought a long list of names printed out.
“Then what about ‘zls***’?”
“After ‘ter’ comes ‘zils’? Do you all have some kind of problem?”
“Well, then ‘cpf***’? It kind of sounds like ‘Captain’… ”
“Does the Captain have a middle finger?”
“Then ‘rid***”
“Remove what? Are we an assassination squad?”
Each of Jin Hojae’s suggestions was met with harsh rejection from Lee Wooshin, causing sweat to pour from Jin Hojae.
“How about ‘mys***’?”
“If the name sounds like ‘miss,’ it’ll make the company seem error-prone and customers won’t want to associate with it.”
“What about ‘fee***’?”
“A military company called ‘fee’? That’s hopeful.”
“No, no. Then-”
“Enough. Let’s stop here.”
Lee Wooshin shook his head and stood up. As he put his watch back on, he muttered a few of the names suggested to him coldly: “Jo-pal… Zils… Ter… Fee…” Seoryeong squeezed her eyes shut.
She thought to herself, Seniors, I can’t shield you from this… She bit her lip and turned her gaze away. That night, the company name was decided to be Yuz Company.
It was a statement filled with their business goal of using their military abilities without hesitation where help was needed.
The noisy days continued like that. For over a month and a half, the two of them focused all their energy on recovering their bodies, and as a result, the weight and muscle they had lost all returned.
And today, finally, was the day to remove the cast.
As the doctor removed the stiff plaster, Lee Wooshin’s expression, which had been observing the process, also faded away.
“Doctor, excuse me. Would it be okay if I just had the cast put back on?” Seoryeong idly thought this while watching the man, who was slowly stretching his side, with his fingers interlaced behind his head.
“…”
The doctor’s voice, mumbling about this and that, didn’t register at all. She simply felt her skin prickling, and an instinctive sense of caution washed over her.
His face, which was struggling to suppress excitement, stared only at her, unwavering. When the doctor tried to leave, Seoryeong unconsciously grabbed the cuff of his sleeve.
“Doctor, it’s better to avoid intense exercise, right? I think that’s what I should do.”
She spoke with determination in her eyes, and the doctor readily smiled.
“No, you must feel stiff all over. It’s perfectly fine for you to do whatever you like.”
At that moment, Lee Wooshin, who had been massaging the back of his neck, was briefly seen smiling.
